Question: What does it take in order to have long term success in real estate? I’m talking wealth building, decades long success. Aside from the usual patience and hard work, there are two very important factors:
- Local knowledge – what’s going on in the market. All of the niche trends that allow you to successfully invest for the present and the long term.
- Community – your team. The network of people who hold you accountable and help you invest. This is everyone from other investors to various professionals you work with.
Our goal is to combine these two ideas in order to do a better job of educating our audience. To achieve this, we’re in the process of rebranding everything: the website, podcast, and books are being transformed into an educational platform.
Our new name is REICO: Real Estate Investing in Colorado.

Why REICO?
We’re very much focused on real estate investing and strengthening our community in Colorado. Right now, the website and podcast are very Denver-centric, but we’ve grown a lot over the last couple of years. We’re now down in Colorado Springs and Pueblo, and we want to keep expanding as our resources and markets grow.
Growth causes change. We’ve seen a ton of success with our podcast and other educational content. At the same time, Envision Advisors has also been taking off. In order to keep both of these entities growing, they each need to have very core focuses.
Envision Advisors’ focus is staying the same. Their mission is helping investors buy rentals and house hacks in Denver, Colorado Springs, and Pueblo. Check out our recent podcast to get all of the information on what they do and how they’re successful.
What’s Changing?
If you follow us on social media, you may have already seen some of the new branding and references to REICO. We also have a new color palette and design style.
Five years ago, I built the website myself. Now, it’s outdated, clunky, and because we have so much great content on it, hard to navigate. We’re in the process of building a beautiful and robust new website that makes everything a lot more searchable and user friendly. This website will give us a platform and community that will allow us to provide more and better information on local market conditions.
Our Denver and Colorado Springs podcasts are staying the same at their core. I’ll still host the Denver podcast, and Jenny will keep hosting in the Springs. We’re improving the look and feel with new artwork and introductions.
Get Ready for New and Better Content
We’re also rolling out a dedicated courses section on the new website. Our goal with these courses is to boil down the information that works in the local market. Our in-house house hacking expert Ben Einspahr is teaching a course on short and medium term rentals. He’s successfully bought and operated a handful of short and medium term rentals himself and has been so successful he was able to switch careers and follow his passion.
Our second course is taught by Jeff White and tackles self-management and rent by room rental strategies. Jeff has had a ton of success with finding creative ways to self-manage his properties, and his course breaks down his systems and operations in an easy to understand and implement way.
These are going to be paid courses that will deliver high quality and usable information. Our goal is always to provide you with something of value for whatever you give us, be it time, attention, or money. We are going to grow our educational platform to provide a vast amount of resources and knowledge for Colorado investors.
Something else I’ve been focusing on recently is facilitating masterminds. The vast majority of people need to be involved in groups and communities in order to grow. We plan on having a lot more dedicated masterminds to help people succeed wherever they are in their investing career.
How We’re Growing
You’ll be seeing a lot of change in the next couple of months. In order to help facilitate all of this, we’re getting staffed up on the media side. We added four new team members in the past four months! Increasing our staff will enable us to produce new and more robust content.
We’re also building up our local experts. We’ve got Jenny in the Springs and Pueblo; Ben with short term rentals; Jeff with house hacking and self-managing; Stacy with ADUs; Chelsea doing portfolio analysis, and more. Having experts on staff allows us to create more niche content.
While this has been in the works for a few months, it’s been on my mind for the past year. It’s a huge reward to see it come to fruition. I’m grateful to our team members and the community around town.
