Podcast #19: “Get Rich Quick – Slow” with Karl Busch

Karl Busch shares his story of going from zero rentals in 2010 to 18 rentals in 2017 around Denver. In 2010, his computer business had failed and left him out of work. However, he had a paid off house, no debt, and a good credit score. He bought his first rental property using a HELOC and a cash advance from a 0% credit card!

In addition to sharing his very interesting story, he discusses:

  • His investing strategy – only buy properties that he would live in at some stage in his life (i.e. as a college grad, a retiree, etc.)
  • How he self-manages 18 properties.
  • Advice for new investors – “Get Rich Quick – Slow.”
