Colorado Springs Real Estate Trends – August 2020

The Colorado Springs MLS trends data for August 2020 is out. Comparing year over year (August 2019 to August 2020) is better than comparing the previous month, because we have defined seasonality trends.

The Colorado Springs MLS trends data for August 2020 is out. Comparing year over year (August 2019 to August 2020) is better than comparing the previous month, because we have defined seasonality trends.

The National Association of REALTORS® identified the top metro areas for the next 3-5 years based on domestic migration, housing affordability for new residents, consistent job growth relative to the national average, population age structure, attractiveness for retirees and home price appreciation, among other variables. Colorado Springs came in at number three.

Colorado Springs MLS Market Stats

  • Inventory at the end of August was about half what it was in Aug ‘19
  • Sales were really strong, up 15% from Aug ‘19
  • No surprise that DOM was down a bit!
  • Prices were up a lot, 22%!  That’s due to a lack of small homes to sell, and strong sales of larger properties.

Great momentum!
